Cowboy Killer

This artwork uses a process of compositing photography and digital painting to create an image that invokes emotions of mystery and sadness in viewers. The woman in the image is juxtaposed by the environment of harsh infrastructure, which leaves more questions asked than answered.

 

Artist Bio: Starting at a museum intern at the University of Notre Dame’s Snite Institute at the age of 15, Cowboy Killer began as a digital artist and painter before finding photography in his late teens. CK uses a mix of digital painting and composited photography to create scenes of surreal melancholy that has made its way into galleries and private collections all over the world.
